NE & Mississippi River Fishing Report Pools 9-15
November 15, 2010
Lots of people have been out. Ice thickness varies from 18 to 20 inches. Bluegill - Good: Reports of 6 to 8 inch gills are being caught. Crappie - Good: Crappies 8 to 10 inches are being caught on light colored jigs.

NW-Okoboji, Spirit Lake & more Fishing Report

Bluegill and crappie fishing with wax worms has been pretty good. Anglers are targeting the area southwest of the boat ramp area. Bluegill - Good: Anglers are catching bluegill about hand size with wax worms. Crappie - Good: Anglers are picking up crappie with wax worms and minnows, some are nice size fish.

SE & Mississippi River Fishing Report Pools 16-19
November 15, 2010
Most areas of the lake have 6-plus inches of ice. Concentrate you efforts in the flooded timber around the old creek channel. The county plans on sanding the hill down to the ramp. Look for the water to cloud back up with the rain. Bluegill - Good: Anglers are fishing in the flooded timber out by the creek channel. Crappie - Good: Fish the same areas as for bluegills. Look about 2 to 3 feet off the bottom.

SW Fishing Reports SW

Bluegill - Good: Beaver Lake is producing some decent bluegills through the ice this year. The larger ones being caught are 8 to 9 inches. Anglers are having success in 15 to 20 foot of water out from the dam and on the 9 to 15 foot ridge that runs south of the 40 foot hole across the lake from the boat ramp. Fish are being caught using wax worms and spikes. Crappie - Fair: With the bluegills, anglers are picking up a few decent crappies up to 11 inches.
