Some cold nights we have been having should help - I am going to plan on Thanksgiving weekend as I have one week of deer hunting left.

I don't see anyone fishing this weekend unless it's by boat....the deeper lakes were open as of late yesterday afternoon. Marion may have even opened with all this wind too.

I'm predicting ice for most, if not all, of the lakes in this area by Saturday morning at the earliest. It's ready to freeze if it has a chance but this wind just won't give up!

My first lake is typically Belle or Washington, depending which one has safe, walkable ice first.

Any updated ice conditions in the Hutch area?? What does Marion look like? Checked Clear Lake by Gibbon this morning and looked like 2-3 inches of clear solid ice. I didnt walk out too far, but it didnt crack/spider or anything. Really have the itch to get out tomorrow but...dont wanna risk my life either. The news just said maybe a couple inches of snow tonight, that wouldnt be good on this new ice. Any updates..................??
